Carbon is the central element of all organic compounds that are essential for our life. Almost everything surrounding us are made of organic compounds. However, a majority of them are synthesized from petrochemicals, of which their use is doing enormous harm to the environment.
CO2L Tech offers a technological platform to recycle and transform carbon from CO2 emissions into valuable organic compounds. They can be further converted into polymers, fuels, and chemical feedstocks. Our ultimate goal is to create a new market for products originated from carbon dioxide.

Our Electrochemical CO2 Reduction (ECR) systems transform CO2 into industrially useful chemicals.
The technology developed by CO2L Tech is based on the Electrochemical Reduction (ECR) of CO2. Our electrolytic systems work at high CO2 reduction rates, with high selectivity to products and long-term stability. More importantly, they can be incorporated into CO2 emission sources without the need to have major modifications to the infrastructure.
The input can either be pure CO2 gas or CO2 from the emission sources, which under an applied voltage is transformed into ethylene, syngas, or formic acid depending on which catalyst is used. With the rapid development of renewable technologies, it would be possible to run our systems with solar or wind energy in the future.
